Digitising the Care Sector:
Get the Right Answers by Asking the Right Questions

Leipzig. July 20, 2017 – When talking to leading experts of the social care sector, the KENDAXA Group asks specific questions to develop customised solutions for the industry’s digitisation. In order to obtain insight into care workers’ actual experience, FEXCOM initiated the “Pflegesalon” (German for “care lounge”), a workshop taking place in Leipzig on 6 and 7 July 2017. During the event, the participants from ambulant and inpatient care institutions discussed their need for modular software with a building block structure.

As an expert for digitisation, KENDAXA always relies on practical experience when developing new products. For this reason, they individually interviewed the workshop’s participants about their most pressing problems and their views on the industry’s digitisation. With clear results: The sector urgently needs user-oriented solutions that help save time on administrative tasks, for instance on documentation and shift planning. Hence, KENDAXA will attempt to tackle these problems in their upcoming product development. Both participants and organisers were very satisfied with the workshop’s outcome: The attending social care experts have obtained a new awareness of the opportunity digitisation provides for the care industry. KENDAXA and FEXCOM give thanks to the participants for their realistic reports on their working life. These insights will be invaluable for the development of applications that explicitly address the sector’s problems.
