Web analysis by Matomo

1. Scope of processing of personal data

On this website, KENDAXA uses Matomo, an open source software tool, to analyze the surfing behavior of our website visitors. In doing so, data is only transmitted to our servers and not to external servers. Matomo uses cookies, small text files that are stored on the computer of the visitor to the website, which enable the analysis of website usage. The information obtained by cookies is transmitted to the KENDAXA server and stored there so that usage behavior can be evaluated. Your IP address is an anonymous identifier for us; however, we do not have any technical means of identifying site visitors - they remain anonymous. KENDAXA sees this analysis as part of its Internet service and would like to further improve the website and make it more attractive by adapting it more and more to the needs of the website visitors. If you agree to the web analysis using Matomo, the following data will be collected when individual pages on our website are accessed:

  1. 2 bytes of the IP address of the calling system of the user
  2. The website accessed
  3. The website from which the user came to the accessed website (referrer)
  4. The sub-pages that are accessed from the accessed website
  5. The length of time spent on the website
  6. The frequency with which the website is accessed

The software runs exclusively on the servers of our website. The user's personal data is only stored there. The data will not be passed on to third parties. Here you can decide whether a web analysis cookie may be stored in your browser in order to enable us to collect and analyze statistical data.

2. Legal basis for processing of personal data

The legal basis for processing users' personal data is Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

3. Purpose of data processing

The processing of the personal data of the users enables us to analyze the surfing behavior of our users. By evaluating the data obtained, we are able to compile information about the use of the individual components of our website. This helps us to continuously improve our website and its user-friendliness. By anonymizing the IP address, the interests of users in protecting their personal data are adequately taken into account.

4. Duration of storage

The data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer required for our recording purposes. The generated statistics and underlying data are not deleted.

5. Opposition and removal option

You can object to the storage and evaluation of this data by Matomo at any time. In this case, a so-called opt-out cookie is permanently stored in your browser, which causes Matomo not to collect any data for storage and analysis. This gives you full control over the use of cookies. Cookies that have already been saved can be deleted at any time. This can also be done automatically. If cookies are deactivated for our website, it is possible that not all functions of the website can be used to their full extent. However, should you intentionally or unintentionally delete this cookie, the objection to the data storage and analysis will also be removed and can be renewed via the following link – deactivate Matomo data collection.

Alternatively, most modern browsers have a so called "Do Not Track" option, which they use to tell websites not to track your user activity. Matomo respects this option. You can also deactivate or restrict the transmission of cookies by changing the settings in your Internet browser. You can find more information on the privacy settings of the Matomo software under the following link: https://matomo.org/docs/privacy/.

Reference is made to your right to rectification, erasure and objection in accordance with Articles 16, 17 and 21 GDPR; see below for more details.
